The Foundation for Educational Development, Inc. (FEDI), a 501(c)(3), federal id 52-192-9345, was founded in 1993 to promote engineering, science, and technology to underrepresented men and women through professional and career development, educational programs, awards programs, and career placement opportunities.

PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS
Each year since 1998 our public awareness campaigns carve out a week where certain underrepresented communities focus activities that addresses the Digital Divide. Events are held around the country that demonstrate how technology can provide numerous opportunities for these communities. This public awareness campaign focuses attention on technology through media campaigns, family educational programs, and local, community-based initiatives
The National Black Family Technology Awareness Week began February 1998. The week is focused on the importance of technology in everyday life, as well as the opportunities for the future. The week's activities across the country is designed to unite families, churches, civic organizations, and individuals.
La Familia Technology Week began October 2002, during Hispanic Heritage Month. La Familia Technology Week is designed to create an environment where children, parents, teachers, and community leaders can find ideas and programs to address the Digital Divide. |
